I joined Jinan University in July 2009. Before joining Jinan University, I worked at EMC Corporation as a Senior Research Scientist. I worked as a Research Officer at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom from 2005 to 2008. I received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from The National Storage Lab at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2004.
I received the annual best paper award of JISE in 2017. I received the best paper award on the 16th National Storage Conference in 2010. I was on the finalist and awarded of EMC Global Innovation Showcase in 2008. I was on the Storage Challenge Finalist at ACM/IEEE Super Computing(SC07)in 2007.
I have authored and co-authored two book chapters and more than 50 refereed academic papers. Most of the papers can be located from DBLP.
I am on the editorial board of International Journal of Grid and High Performance Computing and a book titled Grid Technologies and Utility Computing: Concepts for Managing Large-Scale Applications.
I have served as a committee member for many professional conferences in the field. I am also a reviewer of more than 20 academic journals.
My research interests cover data storage, cloud computing, cluster computing, green computing, performance evaluation, etc.
